September is Sepsis Awareness Month!

September is Sepsis Awareness Month and our friends at the Sepsis Alliance have a number of events and other ways to get involved.

Find out more here:

Of particular interest is the 2nd World Sepsis Congress for which the Global Sepsis Alliance and the World Health Organization have joined forces to bring you the free online congress ‘WSC Spotlight: Maternal and Neonatal Sepsis’ on September 12th, 2017. To find out more and to register for free, please visit www.wscspotlight.org.

The WSC Spotlight is a smaller satellite congress of the 'World Sepsis Congress' Series, focused on one particular aspect of sepsis. The 2nd World Sepsis Congress with its broad approach will return in the Fall of 2018.

How about joining the Sepsis Awareness Month Photo Challenge? Take a photo of you or your team wearing or using a sepsis awareness product. Post it to to your social media. Don’t forget to use Tweet about or at World Sepsis Day, using the hashtag #wsd17, #stopsepsis, #savelives

Sepsis Awareness Month

MSQC is making its own Sepsis Resources Toolkit publicly available. This toolkit is a handy collection of tools, resources, and examples of best practice, pulled together by the MSQC team to assist facilities in their sepsis prevention efforts. Please feel free to share widely at your hospital and beyond:

And if you're organizing something for Sepsis Awareness Month at your hospital we'd love to know about it, so please let us know!

Thanks,

Skip, Greta and the MSQC Coordinating Center Team.
