Amanda is the Managing Director of the Michigan Surgical Quality Collaborative (MSQC) and the Michigan Bariatric Surgery Collaborative (MBSC), where she plays a key role in improving the quality of care across Michigan’s statewide healthcare network. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Community and Public Health Nursing from the University of Michigan, Amanda’s career has been grounded in both clinical expertise and healthcare leadership.

Before stepping into her current leadership role, Amanda gained valuable experience working on a post-surgical floor at the University of Michigan Hospital, where she cared for patients in urology, gastrointestinal, and transplant services.

In her current role, Amanda oversees the accuracy of data submissions, strategic planning, and collaboration between the coordinating center and participating sites within MBSC. She is dedicated to advancing quality measurement and patient care across the collaborative.

In 2024, Amanda was selected as one of 60 individuals for the prestigious Presidential Leadership Scholars program, an opportunity that allowed her to learn from leaders in the Johnson, Clinton, Bush (41), and Bush (43) administrations. As part of the program, Amanda had the distinct honor of meeting President Clinton and President and First Lady Bush.
