COVID-19 and Racial Disparities: Moving Towards Surgical Equity

Posted on June 24, 2020.

We wanted to share a recent article pertinent to MSQC’s work, as we join all of the BCBSM Value Partnerships to engage with health disparities and social determinants of health in our respective domains.

At the system-wide level, MSQC is working with BCBSM and the other CQIs to provide opportunities for collaborations and initiatives to address these critical issues, not just with respect to COVID-19, but in all areas of our work.

We urge our members to take a lead from the calls for action in this paper, and consider ways to address health disparities within our practices.
