In order to harness the lessons we learn from the data into real-world improvements in surgical outcomes, the MSQC chooses a number of Quality Improvement initiatives to focus on each year, including those included in the Pay for Performance Scorecard.

MSQC QI Toolkits

The following toolkits were developed as a result of our quality improvement efforts and are offered as a resource to our members and other hospitals embarking on quality improvement projects on these topics.

MSQC Care Pathway Development

​

MSQC has developed specific care pathways for colon surgery, hernia, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hysterectomy, and Whipple. As a collaborative we will identify the most effective care pathways across our state and help hospitals implement these best practices.
